Performance Intelligence
We say intelligence for a reason. The Veypor is full of intelligent features. The automatic ¼ mile and 0-60Mph modes sense vehicle motion and only start logging data when you start moving and stop logging when the run is over. By using the internal accelerometers and wheel sensor together, the Veypor knows if your rear wheel is spinning will still give you accurate forward velocity. With the wheel rotation sensor on the back wheel, even if the front wheel comes off the ground accurate distance and speed measurements are always known.
Veypor can remember and recall up to eight stored runs. It can store up 8 sessions of 30 lap times each, it can keep track of your average velocity over any amount of time, and it can memorize all your gear ratios. It’s RPM sensor is programmable for any engine type (V-Twin, Single, I-4, parallel twin) and has a dual stage programmable shift light for any RPM level you want. It lets you choose different graphic displays and metric or imperial units. And it lets you customize this configuration data for up to four different vehicles making it easy to quickly switch between rides or setups. All this data is permanently stored in the Veypor. It can sit around for years and the data will still be there.
Precise Sensing
Veypor’s outstanding accuracy comes from a dual motion sensor architecture that uses both accelerometers and wheel rotation sensing coupled to a high speed microprocessor.
You’ve probably heard of a few products that use accelerometers as a method for measuring motion over short distances and times. The problem is that they are highly subject to electronic noise, vehicle vibration, bumps in the road, hills, lateral drift and temperature. This makes their accuracy very unreliable for any period of time over several seconds, at low accelerations or at different times of the day when the temperature has changed a lot. At high accelerations and at low speeds over short distances they perform very well, generating a constant stream of data hundreds of times per second.
We have combined a highly accurate 3-axis accelerometer with a wheel rotation sensor. The Wheel Rotation Sensor generates very accurate data but only generates it once per wheel rotation. Combining this with the accelerometers provides data with very high accuracy all the time, whether cruising on the highway, accelerating on the drag strip or cornering on the racetrack.

Meter Those Hours
The Veypor features a fully functional hour meter with two indpendent and programmable timers. Each timer can be turned on or off and set to a specific number of hours. The timer only counts down when the engine is running and displays a warning on screen when maintenance is required. The Hour Meter is perfect for tracking routine maintenance items like oil changes, filter cleanings and spark plug changes. This results in less down time, increased fuel economy and better performance.
Accurate RPMs
The built-in tachometer actually measures every individual engine spark with an accuracy of 5 millionths of a second. It then uses an adaptive algorithm to smooth out and average this value so you see the constant RPM of your engine, not values bouncing all over the place. This lets you get your engine speed exactly right before dropping the clutch and taking off.
Real Data in Real Time
Everything is real-time. No matter what you’re doing the display tells you your real time speed, acceleration, RPM, which gear you are in, and how much distance you've covered. Speed, acceleration and RPM are displayed using a digital numerical readout of the exact value and using bar graphs so you can get the relative values at a glance. The RPM and velocity bar graphs have programmable upper limits. Set the RPM graph to a limit of 10,000 and you’ll know at a glance exactly how close you are to that redline or optimal shift point.
Plenty of Data
The Veypor records lots of data, at very high sampling rates. During runs Veypor logs your Velocity, RPM, Distance, Time, Horsepower and Acceleration. During quarter mile mode all data is recorded 25 times per second (25Hz) and for a maximum of 28 seconds. In 0-60Mph timing and braking tests, data is recorded 50 times every second (50Hz) for a maximum of 14 seconds. You don’t even have to limit yourself to 0-60 or ¼ Mile runs. During those 14-28 seconds you can do whatever you want and the Veypor will capture all the data and allow you to graph it later.
What gear am I in?
Without the need of any additional sensors the Veypor tells you your current gear. It uses your speed and RPM to calculate and memorize your gear ratios so that you always know what gear you’re in.
Perfect Vision
Veypor collects and displays a lot of information. All this information is displayed on a large graphic LCD that’s easily readable in direct sunlight and has a distinctive blue backlight for excellent visibility at night.

The Veypor lets you plot full Horsepower and Torque curves for your vehicle. Change your muffler, adjust your timing and see what affect it has on your power curves immediately and in real road conditions. Use the dynamometer mode to set two RPM values and plot your power curve for that gear. 
Want more info on your mileage, how far a tank gets you? Don't have a gas gauge? The Veypor fuel estimation tools accurately predict fuel use, distance remaining on a tank, instantaneous and average mileage. Track how far you've gone on a tank with a separate tripmeter and see your fuel level with the fuel gauge graphics. 
The Veypor lets you do 1/4 Mile runs complete with a Full or Pro staging light tree. You can practice your technique or just see what your vehicle is capable of. It also provides you with 0-60 timing, 1/8 mile times, top speed, peak HP and Torque, a braking distance test and a programmable roll-on test. 
The Veypor's built in lap timer lets you record time and top speed for each lap. The data for multiple lap sessions can all be saved for later viewing and analysis. Purchase our additional infra-red lap timer receiver to allow fully automatic lap timing with 1/100th of a second accuracy. If you're taking a ride out of town instead of the on track, use the course timer to keep track of all your vital stats including distance, average speed, peak velocity and more. 
A large, bright red shift light illuminates when an RPM level you set is reached. This lets you shift at the perfect time without having to constantly take your eyes off the road to look down and consult your tach. Use the dual level mode to set another RPM limit which causes the light to flash quickly when reached. This feature works great for creating an RPM launch window during drag racing - you can hold the perfect RPM without ever having to consult your gauges, allowing you to concentrate on the tree. 
The run analysis screen is where the Veypor really distinguishes itself from standard instrumentation. All the important aspects of your run are displayed automatically: Your elapsed time, reaction time, 0-60Mph time, peak torque and horsepower with RPM, trap speed and max speed. You also get to plot out every data point from your run. You can see horsepower and torque vs. RPM curves, velocity vs. time, RPM vs. time and more. Move the cursor around the graph to get the exact values at each point. When you’re done analyzing the run pick one of the eight available storage slots and save it. Then, if you want even more detail and analysis functions, download the run data to your PC.
