The base plate replacement is required for proper installation of the Custom Dynamic Pro Beam tail light It comes in black or crone. I choose the black with a red lence tail light on a black [****] The plate is well made and fits perfectly.
Beside the back plate and the integrated Custom Dynamic tail light Pro Beam, make sure you purchase the proper tail light adapter for the bike.
All parts were purchased directly from Custom Dynamic, their customer service team was very helpful in answering all questions and also providing all the correct parts for a perfect insulation.
Custom look and it also eliminates the extra weight the stock tail light has which is cousin issues with the tail light mounting bracket.
The rear fender tail light braket is braking causing the tail light to fall off and also cracking the lower part of the rear fender on the low rider st new models. This is a HD factory design defect. They are not having a recall as of yet because they are going to need to replace all the rear fenders on new Low riders ST models.
The Custom Dynamic integrated tail light reduces the weight of the stock tail light putting less stress on the rear fender braket that holds the tail light
