2014-2022 Harley-Davidson® Road King (FLHR), 2017-2020 Road King Special (FLHRXS) and 2020-2025 Freewheeler (FLRT) motorcycles come equipped from the factory with a dual halogen bulb "Rushmore" style headlamp with two wire connections identified as H9 and H11 plugs. Custom Dynamics® LED headlamp replacements all have a single H4 (3 prong) male plug.

This plug and play adapter plugs in-line to mate the male H-4 headlamp connector from Custom Dynamics® 7" LED Motorcycle Headlamps to the H9 & H11 OEM headlamp plugs to provide effortless installation.

The adapter works fine, I just had a little trouble at first because it's possible to reverse the connection -- which means only one "beam" works. Once I realized that the black 'ground' wire wasn't being matched with the outgoing black 'ground' wire, I switched the plug around and everything worked fine. At the plugs, just be sure that black IN continues with black OUT (should be a no-brainer, but I screwed that up).

(i mentioned what kind of bike i had in the comments) i indeed had selected the wrong item and they helped me cancel the order before shipping it and ordered the correct part. got it super fast too. so my review may not be for this specific adapter, but it is for their stellar customer service! also, it really pays off to mention what your ride is when ordering, just in case....
