Replace the OEM standard 3-bolt mounted license plate bracket (PN 59984-73 and 59986-75) on 1984-2026 Harley-Davidson® motorcycles with this durable metal mount. The radius design mimics the curve of the rear fender for a low profile license plate solution. Custom Dynamics® radius license plate frame recommended for adding tag illumination (sold separately). Wired license pate frames utilize provided hollow bolt for wiring to pass through the fender. Included hex head bolts and nylon locking nuts utilize OEM holes for installing mount to the fender. Additional 8-32 X .5 screws are provided as a possible solution to affix the license plate to the mount. However, you may require additional hardware to accomodate your license plate if Custom Dynamics® radius license plate frame is not installed.

1984-2026 Harley-Davidson® models with the standard 3-bolt mounted license plate bracket (OEM Parts 59984-73 and 59986-75) including 1984-1985 XLS, XLH1000, XR1000, 1984-1986 XLX, 1986-1987 XLH1100, 1996-2010 XL1200C, 2006-2011 XL1200L, 2004-2008 XL1200R, 2007 XL50. 1991-1992 FXDB, 1992 FXDC, 1993-2017 FXDL, 1995-2010 FXD, 1999-2000 FXDS-CONV, 1999-2005 FXDX, 2001-2004 FXDP, 2007-2008 FXDSE, 2006-2008 FXDB, 2005-2014 FXDC. 1988-2021 FLSTC, 2006 FLST, 1993-1996 FLSTN, 1990-2017 FLSTF, 2005-2006 FLSTFSE, 2010-2016 FLSTFB, 2018-2026 FLHCS, 2018-2020 FXLR, 2020-2026 FXLRS, 2022-2026 FXLRST, 2022 FXRST. 2009-2013 FLHRC.

Included hex head bolts and nylon locking nuts utilize OEM holes for installing mount to the fender. One hollow bolt also allows for LED license plate frame wireing to pass through the fender without drilling. Additional 8-32 X .5 screws are provided as a possible solution to affix the license plate to the mount. However, you may require additional hardware to accomodate your license plate if Custom Dynamics® radius license plate frame is not installed. 

Compatible with Custom Dynamics® radius license plate frames with universal hard-wire installation (sold separately). Do not use with plug and play license plates with connectors.

Goodbye sail!

Huge upgrade just by getting rid of that “sail” on my bike. Really awesome how they added a hollow bolt. I really didn’t want to drill through my fender. Seen the previous version of this product and yeah, I really couldn’t phantom the thought of drilling. Thank you Custom Dynamics for that. Added with the LED license plate my bike looks way better. Make the easy switch with Custim Dynamics.

Style points for sure!

This cleaned up the rear end so well. I really love the look of it and the install was straight forward and easy. I think it's genius they included holes drilled into the plate holder in case you got the LED license plate bracket as well. One of the bolts included is even hallow so the wire can seamlessly be ran through.

Love the Lay Down Plate Frame

I had an issue with the delivery of my order and Custom Dynamics Customer Service was outstanding! They followed up, contacted the delivery service, and reshipped my order ASAP! The Lay Down License Plate looks awesome and fit perfectly on my Harley Softail. Highly recommend Custom Dynamics.

Looks Great but you'll probably need to upgrade...

The only reason im giving this a 4 star review instead of 5 is because the mounting hardware isnt great. I had a bolt snap when I attached it to my fender and the screws for the license plate were too small for my plate. I had to go to Home Depot to buy screws and washers to make it work. Overall, it looks great and cleaned up the look of my bike, but you might need to spend some extra cash to make it work.
